The ICC kicks off the 100-day countdown with the release of the ‘Out of this World’ Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign film

To commemorate the official beginning of the 100-day countdown for the event, the ICC has launched the official campaign film ‘Out of this World,’ featuring T20 cricket stars Quinton de Kock, Kieron Pollard, Marcus Stoinis, Shaheen Afridi, Shubman Gill, and Ali Khan.

The film highlights the different venues where the T20 World Cup matches will take place in the West Indies and the USA, capturing the excitement surrounding the tournament.

With only 100 days left until the highly anticipated event runs from June 1 to June 29, the remaining tickets for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and USA will now be available for general sale.

Following the overwhelming demand for the ballot tickets released on February 1, general tickets for the event will be available from February 22, 10 AM Antigua Standard Time, on the T20 World Cup website.

During the ballot period, the ICC received over 3 million ticket applications from 161 countries. Currently, tickets for all T20 World Cup matches scheduled in the USA are unavailable, with the India vs. Pakistan fixture on June 9 in New York oversubscribed by more than 200 times.

While both semi-finals in Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana, along with the Final in Barbados, were oversubscribed during the ballot, tickets for all other fixtures in the West Indies will now be available for purchase in the general sale.

On the occasion of the general sale launch and the official film premiere, ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice expressed anticipation from fans for what will be the largest ICC event ever played, with 20 international teams competing across nine host cities.

Johnny Grave, Chief Executive of Cricket West Indies, also expressed excitement over the substantial demand for tickets, indicating the growing global appeal of T20 cricket.

T20 World Cup USA, Inc. Chief Executive Brett Jones discussed the growing popularity of cricket in the US market, highlighting the transformative impact of the 2024 T20 World Cup on the game’s landscape in the country.
