Corey Anderson included in the USA’s team roster for the T20I matches against Canada.

The USA has finalized a 15-player roster for the upcoming five-match T20I series against Canada, set to commence on April 7th. Among the notable inclusions is former New Zealand cricketer Corey Anderson, who has migrated to the USA and is now eligible to represent the team following his involvement in Major League Cricket (MLC). Anderson’s impressive performance in the Minor League Cricket (MiLC), where he has amassed over 900 runs in 28 innings at a striking rate of 146, has earned him a spot in the squad.

The squad also features several other notable players such as former India U19 player Harmeet Singh, former Canada captain Nitish Kumar, and former South Africa domestic stars Andries Gous and Shadley Van Schalkwyk.

Despite his remarkable record as the leading run-scorer in MiLC history, former U19 World Cup-winning captain for India, Unmukt Chand, was conspicuously absent from the squad selection.

The team will be led by Monank Patel, with Aaron Jones serving as vice-captain. Patel emphasized the importance of this series in the team’s preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup, stating that the matches will provide valuable opportunities to assess different combinations and fine-tune their strategies.

The matches are scheduled to be held at the Prairie View Cricket Complex (PVCC) in Houston, Texas, from April 7th to 13th.
